FAQ
Are engagement photos included in the wedding packages?
Yes, they are! It's an hour-long engagement session.
If you would like a 2-hour session with an outfit change that would be an additional $50.
If you would like a 2-hour session with outfit change and a location change that would be an extra $100
We don't want an engagement session. Could we do something different?
Yes. If you aren't looking for an engagement session. We could do an hour long bridal portrait or for an extra $100 a wedding shower or rehearsal could be done in place of the engagement session.
How do you take payment? Do you offer payment plans?
Along with the contract, I will send you an invoice for the non-refundable deposit. The deposit can be paid online through the invoice. The remainder of your payment can either be worked out in a payment plan that fits you, or a lump sum due before the wedding. Either through online service or cash.
When will we get photos back and how?
Engagement photos: I'll send you a link to your private gallery within 48 hours with a sneak peek. Your full gallery will be sent out within 1-2 weeks
Wedding: I'll send you a new link to your private wedding gallery with sneak peeks within 24 hours. Your full wedding gallery will be completed within 4-12 weeks. I'll be in constant communication during those weeks with a few more sneak peeks here and there.
How many photos are in each wedding package?
Approximately 200 for the ceremony, 600 for ceremony and reception, and 1,200 for all-day coverage. I tend to over-deliver and go over those numbers the majority of the time. These photos are memories from your wedding day, and you should have as many as you can have.
What do you mean by first look or first touch?
Both are private moments before your ceremony, and are completely optional.
The first look gives you moment to yourselves to see at each other before walking down the aisle. It gives you the option to live in that moment for a little longer than you would during your ceremony. You can share a prayer, or just hold hands in silence. You both can say your private vows or a letter to one another that you don't want the rest of the guest to hear. Just a moment to yourselves before your ceremony.
The first touch is a lot like the first look, without seeing each other. There would be a wall or door in-between or back-to-back.
What are the sunset photos?
I would pull you both aside during sunset, and snag a couple photos of you both. These are optional. They would be at your choice of area at your venue, or I can find a nicely lit area for you both.
Do you charge an additional travel fee?
I do. I charge an additional $0.50 per mile if it's outside an 80-mile radius from where I am located in Bedford, Virginia.
When and where are the engagement photos taken?
When and where is up to you. If, you are looking to add your engagement photos to invitations or save the dates keep that in mind for when you want to plan to have your session. (turnaround time for engagement session is 1-2 weeks)
I do like to take engagement photos in a location that holds meaning to you both. The area where you first met, first date, where you purposed, somewhere that you both know, love, and visit often. Could also be family property, around your home town/city, or up in the mountains. I have a location handout I can send to you if you need a little inspiration.
